It’s about an hour by road from the LA airport by freeway to Anaheim – the home of Disney Land. First impressions of LA – it looks grubby. Admittedly we were on the concrete freeways which do look ugly, but there is rubbish everywhere. In stark contrast as we crossed into Orange County everything is clean and green, despite the drought this place has been in for 3 years. We checked into the Courtyard Marriott on South Harbor Boulvard. Great accommodation and only a 15 min walk to Disney Land. But before we did that we sorted out US SIM cards for our iPads and iPhones. Of course we were then in need of a break, some lunch and a “first beer”
