Friends you meet at Byron

Thursday 2nd April 2015

Breakfast on the verandah.

Friends dropping by – Gazza the surf coach, Ben the backpacker from Jersey – more surfing, coffee on the verandah, surfing tips for Geoff, online marketing tips for Gazza – more coffee on the verandah, lunch on the verandah, wine on the verandah.

Time for a swim.

Brian and Robyn arrived in time for sunset drinks on the verandah before we headed off to the Bluesfest.  Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue –  energetic and loud; Counting Crows – I didn’t like them, lead singer wears a wig that is past it’s use by date.  Angus and Julia Stone were in a venue that was too big for their style of music.  Discovered Nikki Hill over in Delta and she was fabulous.  She only pulled a small crowd but I think they will catch on to how good she is over the next few days.

It rained heavily at about 10pm but we were under cover.  Getting the buses home was a problem.  We lined up at midnight and didn’t get home until 2am.
