Wednesday 14th October
We flew from Townsville to Melbourne yesterday, picked up the hire car and drove to Gisbourne – an easy 40 minute drive from Tullamarine. We are staying at the beautiful home of Tony and Lynne Scott.
Today after a leisurely breakfast we went exploring Mt Macedon (and walked to the Cross), and the great little towns of Woodend, Trentham and Kyneton. These are all great places to spend more time digging into the past to discover the quaint and quirky. We have already offered to house sit for Tony and Lynne just in case they have the urge to take another extended overseas holiday.
Once we arrived back at their home, Tony took us on a train journey of his back shed. Tony is an avid model railroad builder. So we got to play trains for ages.
