Phuket Day 2

Saturday 7th May 2016

Another glorious day.

We rose early and went down to the beach to do our stretches and then went jogging along the beach – Geoff managed 3 circuits (up and back), I did one.  We took a dip in the surf afterwards and Geoff kept a close eye on the waves and me.  I was very cautious but it was good to cool down.

After a shower we enjoyed breakfast overlooking the beach – well I guess everywhere overlooks the beach.

We both enjoyed a 30minute massage in the garden before heading into the kitchens for a Basic Thai cooking class.  We made 2 dishes – a fried rice with chicken and a Shrimp coconut milk soup.  Both the cooking and the eating was fantastic.

4pm Yoga

Dinner tonight is at the Chanadda Restaurant (Royal Thai Cuisine)- strangely enough it serves Thai food.

It is summer time here, so in Darwin terminology you would call this time of the year “the build up” or “mango madness season”. However the temperatures are quite reasonable – 32C with about 70% humidity. The breeze is wonderful all of the time and there are so many swimming pools, great shady trees and of course the a/c in our room is cold.
